Our journey

In 2019, PLT Training Ltd signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to those who proudly protect our nation, doing so with honour, courage & commitment. It’s a pledge that together we acknowledge & understand that those who serve, or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness & respect in the communities, economy & society they serve with their lives.

In 2022, our Operations Director took on the role of Armed Forces Ambassador and nominated us for an award. In early 2023, we achieved bronze member status in the Employer Recognition Scheme. Cut forward 10 months and we have worked ceaselessly towards not just fulfilling but going above and beyond our responsibilities as a Covenant member. We employ 4 veterans, we have engaged with the military community by way of discounted or free training, fundraisers, and support. We have developed a policy that is primarily concerned with the mobilisation of reserve forces but also pledges to support Veterans, cadets, partners, spouses, and family members of reservists during times of deployment, injury, or bereavement. We offer an extra 10 days paid leave to reservists to assist with meeting their training obligations throughout the year.
