This training will enable computer workstation users to correctly identify musculoskeletal risks associated with the use of DSE (Display Screen Equipment) or VDUs (Visual Display Unit) and to correctly set-up workstations to minimise potential problems. In relation to potential risks the importance to report to any recommendation to line managers to prevent any long term health issues.
Objectives of course:
• To understand the relevant Legislation with reference to Display Screen Equipment (DSE)
• Be able to identify common hazards from DSE use
• Be able to identify the basic standards of the workstation and carry out a assessment of the workstation
• Have a basic understanding of workstation ergonomics
Our trainers all come from different backgrounds such as Professional Medic, Ex-Military, Mountain Rescue, Industry and are very educated with certificates in NEBOSH, IOSH, First Aid etc. With their knowledge and experience in this field they are able to share their experienced into the delivery of the course and give valuable advice of the do’s and don’ts.
Successful completion of this course delegates are provided with a DSE User certificate. After this course delegates have the option to build their H&S knowledge by booking themselves onto the IOSH Managing Safely course.
