IPAF Harness courses:
IPAF offers three harness courses tailored to meet the needs of different candidates:
- Harness Awareness Course (HA)
- Harness User Course (HU)
- Harness Inspector Course (HI)
Who should attend?
- Harness Awareness Course (HA): Candidates who do not need to personally use or wear a harness should take only the HA Course, which includes theory training and a test. This course is typically for managers, planners, safety professionals, and supervisors.
- Harness User Course (HU): Candidates who need to use or wear a harness themselves should first complete the HA Course and then take the HU Course, which includes a practical assessment. This course is generally for MEWP operators.
- Harness Inspector Course (HI): Candidates responsible for inspecting their company’s personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) and maintaining inspection records, including those required by law, should complete the HA and HU courses first, followed by the HI Course. This course is mainly for company harness/safety inspectors.
Duration:
Half a day for each course. HA/HU can be covered in 1 day.

At PLT Training (per delegate):
£155 per half day course
£250 for HA and HU combined
At Customer Site (up to 10 delegates):
£605 per half day course
£750 for HA and HU combined
Benefits of training:
