Paediatric First Aid is common course in the industry for the people who work young children as a profession. This includes people working in day nurseries, pre-schools, early age groups, child minders, carers of children at home etc. It’s a course developed to give the delegates skill and knowledge of emergencies that they may face when taking care of children and infants.
The aims of a Paediatric First Aider:
- Preserve life
- Prevent worsening
- Promote recovery
The 2 days Paediatric First Aid course we deliver meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage statutory framework as well as OFSTED for registered child-minders and nannies under the Approved Carers Scheme. During the course delegates are put through a variety of possible emergency scenarios that they might experience around children and infants, whilst given enough practice and support to build their confidence.
Our First Aid trainers all come from different backgrounds such as Professional Medic, Ex-Military, Mountain Rescue and Industry. So they are able to transfer their experiences into the delivery of the course and give valuable advice of the do’s and don’ts when dealing with casualties, but also gives the delegates the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
Successful completion of this course delegates are provided with a certificate through our accredited partner Qualsafe. Qualsafe are one of the largest Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisations in the UK with a team of industry specialists who have created a range qualifications that are included on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
